Women’s Health & Hormone Balance In Whistler

Your hormones affect more than just your cycle—they influence energy, mood, sleep, recovery, and long-term health. If you feel like you’re doing “all the right things” but still struggle with PMS, fatigue, or irregular cycles, acupuncture can help reset the rhythm.

At Mend Health Co, we use orthopedic + sports acupuncture alongside hormonal support strategies to restore balance so you can feel like yourself again.

Is This You?

  • PMS symptoms like cramping, bloating, breast tenderness, or mood swings

  • Irregular, heavy, or painful periods

  • Fatigue that shifts throughout your cycle

  • Difficulty sleeping around ovulation or before your period

  • Hormonal headaches or migraines

  • You want to optimize workouts, recovery, and performance with your cycle

  • You’re navigating perimenopause and noticing new changes

If any of that sounds familiar, we should talk.

Why Hormones Get Off Balance

Hormonal shifts are natural—but stress, poor sleep, nutrition gaps, or overtraining can magnify imbalances. Acupuncture regulates the nervous system and improves blood flow to the reproductive organs, helping your body produce and respond to hormones more effectively.

By syncing lifestyle, nutrition, and movement with your cycle, you can feel more energized and resilient all month long.

Common Women’s Health Concerns We Treat

  • PMS & painful periods

  • Irregular or absent cycles

  • Hormonal headaches & migraines

  • Perimenopause & menopause symptoms (hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety)

  • Fertility support & cycle regulation

  • Stress, anxiety, and burnout that worsen symptoms

How We Assess Hormonal Health

Your first session includes a detailed health history, cycle tracking review, and functional assessment so we can tailor care to your unique phase of life.

We may look at:

  • Cycle length and symptoms across phases

  • Energy, mood, and sleep patterns

  • Digestive health (important for hormone clearance)

  • Musculoskeletal tension linked to hormonal shifts (pelvis, low back, neck/jaw)

  • Stress response and nervous system regulation

How Our Integrative Approach Helps

Each treatment is tailored to support your cycle, using both local and distal acupuncture techniques alongside manual therapy when needed.

You may experience:

  • Dry Needling + Electroacupuncture – for pelvic circulation, stress reduction, and pain relief

  • Distal Needling – regulates hormones through channel pathways

  • Manual Therapy (Cupping/Gua Sha) – reduces tension patterns tied to hormonal shifts (low back, jaw, hips)

  • Lifestyle Guidance – nutrition, teas, moxibustion and seed cycling to reinforce treatment effects at home
